Just hours after Ron Paul’s son Rand Paul was held up in Nashville with the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) a huge moneybomb was posted on Ron Paul’s website to end the TSA. The campaign “End the TSA” is aimed to make a little profit off Rand’s debacle with the TSA. Fair enough though, Rand Paul was on his way to give a speech for Ron Paul but was detained and unable to make it for his father’s campaign speech.
A press release statement was given by Ron Paul’s campaign against the overwhelming concerns about the abusive TSA agency:
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential campaign released the following statement concerning TSA abuses like the ones that resulted in U.S. Sen. Rand Paul being inconvenienced at the Nashville, Tennessee airport. Below please find comments from Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX):
“The police state in this country is growing out of control. One of the ultimate embodiments of this is the TSA that gropes and grabs our children, our seniors, and our loved ones and neighbors with disabilities. The TSA does all of this while doing nothing to keep us safe.
“That is why my ‘Plan to Restore America,’ in additional to cutting $1 trillion dollars in federal spending in one year, eliminates the TSA.
“We must restore the freedom and respect for liberty that once made American the greatest nation in human history. I am deeply committed to doing that as President of the United States.”
At the time of writing this post, Ron Paul has raised over $200k in his attempt to “End the TSA”.
Just because these TSA agents have badges and a uniform does not give them an excuse to step over their boundaries. Small children, disabled, and the eldery are all forced to be subjected to the over the top regulations of the TSA. Below is a video of an eight year old boy who was patted down by the TSA on his way to Disneyland. More of these videos have surfaced about how the TSA oversteps their boundaries in an attempt to deter terrorism.
2012 Republican Winner
Well not quite yet but there is some time left to decide still who will be the republican front runner for the 2012 election. It’s down to the final four: Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul, and Rick Santorum. All have been in first or second place in the last three primaries but only one can be picked to go up against current president Barrack Obama.
